Since the opening of Le Mazet des Joncs in Provence, we have always been happy to welcome pets. However, during the 2024 season, for guests accompanied by animals (usually dogs), we noted an obvious lack of maintenance and respect for the house. Following the departure of some tenants who had stayed with dogs, a pre-vacuuming of floors, beds and sofas lasting over an hour proved necessary.
For this new season, and if we still want to be able to admit pets, we ask you :
- Not to allow pets on the second floor:
- Not to allow pets to climb on beds and sofas;
- Not to leave their droppings in the garden;
- Vacuum the floors regularly.
These simple rules help us to respect our work, that of our cleaning lady, and that of future travellers, who dont have to put up with the inconvenience caused by other peoples pets.

As a general rule, and because the housekeeper is first and foremost a human being, we also ask you to :
- Take out your rubbish regularly and at the end of your stay;
- Empty the fridge (or put them in a container if you cant take them with you and dont want to throw them away);
- Empty coffee makers of their filters and pods;
- Empty the dishwasher and wash your own dishes;
- Leave toilets in an acceptable condition.
The aim ofthese rules is to be able to continue to accept you and your pets, and not to increase our prices. Le Mazet des Joncs en Provence is a vacation home, not a hotel...
Any breach of the rules on your departure will be charged as follows:
- 30 € for vacuuming of floors, beds and sofas;
- 25 € for each bedspread and sofa cover soiled by dog and other hair...
